I began the practice of yoga at a young age with my parents, involving Sivananda Hatha and meditation. At the age of 18, after a rebellious hiatus in my teenage years, I returned to Ashtanga and Iyengar classes. At the age of 22, after discovering Bikram Yoga, I began practicing Yoga everyday, instead of the few days a week I had done previously. In spring of 2001 I studied with Bikram and Rajasharee Choudary at the Bikram Headquarters in Los Angeles, Ca. Upon completion of training I taught tirelessly all over the Bay area, helping out many fledgling studios. During this time I studied and practiced Bikram's Original Series as well as his Advanced Series with my peers and many of his Senior teachers.

In the fall of 2001 I was introduced to the tools offered at Aesclepion in San Rafael, Ca. I would continue to study there in their Clairvoyant program until I received a certificate in spring of 2004. In Spring 2002 I began a journey to see the world, along this adventure I taught at studios in Denver, Maui, Kansas City, St. Augustine, London, and I spent five months in Cape Town, South Africa in the first studio on the continent. I then found solace in a small beach town in Mexico called Los Animas, or the souls. It was there in Puerto Vallarta that I fell in love with a Bikram/Vinyasa fusion. After a year of living on the beach I moved back to my small Northern California town where I was blessed to find Thrive, a studio that incorporated this newfound love of flowing in my practice. For two years I practiced and taught with fellow teachers there until I took a trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand to study the art of Thai Massage with senior teacher Chongol Setthakorn at his school ITM. I spent a great three weeks learning the art and techniques of Lazy Persons Yoga (as it is often called) and have since begun a private practice on friends and clients alike.s

My belief is that our bodies hold the memories and experiences of our life like a road map through our muscles and organs. We must release the painful or unnecessary debris from our body and subconscious to prevent them from becoming pain or emotional hurtles in life. In the practice of yoga and self-reflection we use tools to absolve this stuck energy, providing space for change. The idea is to leave this body with less of this unnecessary energy then we came with! The combination of physical strength building and practicing mental calm enable us to live in a world of chaos and calm alike. My place is to see, acknowledge, and support the journey to personal insight of ones own growth, needs, and changes. To provide a place where matter meets spirit.
